はじめに
前回は比較級（〜より...だ）を学びました。今回は最上級を学びましょう！
「最も〜だ」「一番〜だ」という、3つ以上のものを比べる時に使う表現をマスターしましょう！
最上級とは？
最上級は、3つ以上のものを比べて「最も〜だ」「一番〜だ」と言う時に使います。
基本形
A + be動詞 + the + 形容詞の最上級 + in/of 〜
「Aは〜の中で最も...だ」という意味になります。
例
- Mt. Fuji is the highest mountain in Japan. （富士山は日本で最も高い山です）
- He is the tallest in our class. （彼はクラスで一番背が高いです）
最上級の作り方
パターン1：短い形容詞（-est をつける）
1〜2音節の短い形容詞は、語尾に -est をつけます。

パターン5：長い形容詞（most をつける）
3音節以上の長い形容詞は、前に most をつけます。

most 型の最上級

- She's the most talented artist here. （彼女はここで最も才能のある芸術家です）

不規則変化の最上級
- He is the best student in our school. （彼は私たちの学校で最高の生徒です）
- This is the best pizza in town. （これは町で最高のピザです）
- This is the worst movie I've ever seen. （これは私が今まで見た中で最悪の映画です）
副詞の最上級
形容詞だけでなく、副詞にも最上級があります。
基本形
主語 + 動詞 + (the) + 副詞の最上級 + in/of 〜
副詞の最上級では the は省略されることもあります。
副詞の最上級の作り方

重要な表現
one of the + 最上級 + 複数名詞
「最も〜な...の一つ」という意味です。
one of the + 最上級 + 複数名詞

注意: one of の後ろは複数名詞！
最上級 + I have ever + 過去分詞
「今までで最も〜だ」という意味です。
the + 最上級 + ... + I have ever + 過去分詞
例文
- This is the most interesting book I have ever read. （これは私が今まで読んだ中で最も面白い本です）
- He is the kindest person I have ever met. （彼は私が今まで会った中で最も親切な人です）
- This is the best pizza I have ever eaten. （これは私が今まで食べた中で最高のピザです）

よくある間違い
間違い1：最上級の前の the を忘れる
❌ He is tallest in our class. ✅ He is the tallest in our class.
最上級の前には必ず the をつける！
間違い2：最上級に most と -est を両方つけてしまう
❌ He is the most tallest in our class. ✅ He is the tallest in our class.
-est をつけたら most は不要！most をつけたら -est は不要！
間違い3：good の最上級を間違える
❌ This is the goodest pizza. ✅ This is the best pizza.
good の最上級は best（不規則変化）！
間違い4：in と of を間違える
❌ He is the tallest of Japan. ✅ He is the tallest in Japan.
場所・範囲には in、グループ・数には of！
間違い5：one of the + 最上級 の後ろを単数形にしてしまう
❌ He is one of the most famous singer. ✅ He is one of the most famous singers.
one of の後ろは複数名詞！
